Berlin-based Katjesgreenfood GmbH & Co. KG, the first food impact investor in the growing market for sustainable food in Europe, announces today its participation in the Berlin startup The Rainforest Company. The pioneer of sustainable açaí berry, a superfood from the Brazilian rainforest, introduces the world's first to-go açaí bowl in 2019. This is gently preserved by means of high pressure processing (HPP). To protect the rainforest, the berries are picked by hand directly from the palms.
